Lazerpay saw many merchants and businesses
register for early access, but new business signups dropped significantly after launch. Many users created profiles without completing the application or verifying their businesses. Addressing this issue became essential.

My Role
As a principal Product Designer on the team, I worked with Seyi, the lead Product Designer to redesign the onboarding and compliance experience. I also collaborated with Anthony and Jennifer, the Product Managers on the team, and Justice the Lead Software Developer.

I was responsible for reviewing the design requirements from the product managers, conducting competitor analysis, ideation, design and prototyping of the redesigned onboarding and compliance process. I also collaborated with the software developers - iterating the designs, while keeping technical constraints in mind.

This project provided an amazing opportunity to learn how to creatively think of ways of solving problems through simplicity, without losing sight of business objectives. We streamlined the onboarding process and made it extremely easy for businesses to sign up and know exactly what was required without having any demo calls.
